About the Role

We are seeking a talented Application Developer I to join our team at EO Johnson Business Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and installing innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software applications to ensure feasibility, usability, and interoperability with other system applications.
  • Perform software development tasks, adhering to our organization's software development lifecycle process, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Document software applications, systems, and operations, ensuring proper documentation is created and maintained throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of documented systems, standards, and policies, adhering to them and assisting in maintaining and updating them as needed.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends to prevent future problems.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
  • Maintain and document proper source code configurations for software used by the organization.
  • Follow secure coding practices to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of datasets and software source code.
Requirements
  • College diploma in computer science or 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred: University degree in computer science and 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Software programming knowledge, including object-oriented programming, numerous programming languages, source code version control, and software development life cycle processes.
  • Working knowledge in database technologies and diagnostic utilities.
  • Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, documentation skills, and ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and provide exceptional customer service.
