About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians with medical procedures, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including routine exams, surgeries, and euthanasia
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing payments
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
