Citrus Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our company by providing accurate and reliable estimates for our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate bid packages and solicit qualified subcontractors, suppliers, and outside professionals for comprehensive estimates.
- Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to gain a thorough understanding of each project.
- Generate accurate quantity takeoffs using estimation software and review, level, and perform risk assessments on subcontractor bids.
- Communicate and resolve discrepancies between quantity takeoffs and subcontractor bids, ensuring accurate and reliable line-item budgets for each construction project.
- Maintain strict organization and schedule adherence on simultaneous projects, sorting and compiling qualified bid proposals for each category of work.
- Assist in the bidding process for each individual project, effectively interacting and communicating with vendors, subcontractors, and company team members.
- Assist in the budgeting and value-engineering process on each budgeted project, creating detailed scopes of work for subcontract awards and buy-out packages for internal scoping meetings.
- Assist in maintaining unit price costs and current market trends, ensuring the company stays competitive in the market.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator, specifically in multi-family residential construction.
- Notary is preferred, but not required; valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential.
