Your Role Will Involve:

As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will engage in comprehensive safety analyses, including:
  • Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Hazard Operability Analysis (HAZOP)
  • Fault Tolerant Time Interval (FTTI) assessments
  • Common Mode and Common Cause Analysis
Additionally, you will conduct hardware safety evaluations, such as:
  • Hardware Failure Mode Effect and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA)
  • Hardware Fault Metrics Calculations (SPFM, LFM, PMHF)
Support the creation of functional safety documentation, including:
  • Impact Analysis at the item level
  • Functional Safety Concepts and Technical Safety Concepts
  • Safety Verification and Validation Reports
Derive and specify functional safety requirements for various features and systems, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive integration of safety measures.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in functional safety engineering, particularly with ISO 26262 standards
  • Proficiency in engineering software-enabled systems
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools, specifically MagicDraw
