Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture trusting relationships with clients, employing a client-centered, harm reduction, and strengths-based approach.
- Offer personalized support and guidance on essential life skills, housing issues, health maintenance, and financial management.
- Assist clients in navigating housing options, including unit viewings, moving assistance, and resolving landlord-client disputes.
- Educate and advocate for clients regarding their benefits and entitlements, such as Social Security and public assistance programs.
- Maintain accurate written and electronic records, compile reports, and complete necessary program documentation.
- Participate in annual staff retreats and training sessions, contributing to team cohesion and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Experience working within a Housing First framework and a solid understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health or substance use issues.
- Strong communication, writing, and computer skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks independently, and meet documentation requirements.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to engage in self-reflection and adapt interpersonal approaches.
- Comfort with risk and uncertainty in a dynamic work environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $21.
