Position Overview
The Radiation Therapy Specialist plays a crucial role at Capital Medical Center, administering external beam radiation therapy as directed by the Radiation Oncology physician and Medical Radiation Physicist.

In this position, you will utilize your expertise in radiotherapy, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong service orientation in your daily responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver the prescribed radiation therapy accurately and safely in accordance with departmental protocols.
2. Monitor patients for any unusual physical or psychological responses, promptly reporting all observations to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and/or the Radiation Oncology physician, and assist in emergency interventions as necessary.
3. Maintain the daily treatment schedule and collaborate effectively with physicians, physics staff, and administrative personnel for scheduling treatment sessions, simulations, and diagnostic assessments.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Technology program and board eligible, with the requirement to be registered for the next board examination.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiation Therapy and certified as a Radiation Therapist by the State of Washington.
- Completion of AIDS certification for healthcare workers (7 hours) and CPR certification.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, retirement benefits, and paid time off.

As mandated by various pay transparency regulations, we provide a competitive salary range for candidates in this position. The pay scale is $70.67 USD.

However, compensation is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, experience level, and certifications or education.

If this position is governed by a union contract, compensation will align with the appropriate step on the pay scale based on the applicant's years of experience.
