Job Summary

The Host and Member Experience Specialist plays a vital role in providing an exceptional patient service experience at our Primary Health Center. This individual will be responsible for welcoming patients, handling all patient interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, and demonstrating a commitment to quality and delivering uncompromised service and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and Greeting Patients: Greet each patient with a smile and handle all patient interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
  • Member Support and Services: Accommodate special requests for patient support whenever possible and help to promptly resolve patient questions.
  • Transaction Processing: Assist with the member check-in process, including a basic understanding of benefit eligibility files, check-in technology, and overall clinic workflows within the context of care delivery.
  • Benefits and Insurance Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of employer-sponsored health insurance, including copays, co-insurance, and related benefit specific requirements, in order to support patients.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Engage with patients by answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and following up with patient needs. Collaborate with providers and staff members to deliver an exceptional seamless patient-centered care experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a customer service position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Apple products (Mac, iPad, iPhone), ChromeOS, or client-branded Windows products such as Microsoft or HP.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative care team environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven organizational skills.
  • Ownership and Accountability: High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Conflict Resolution: Experience with multitasking, issue resolution, and conflict management.
  • Healthcare Experience: Experience in a healthcare service delivery environment.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
