Royalty Medical Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, immunology, serology, urinalysis, blood banking, molecular diagnostics, cytology, and immunohematology.
- Ensure all tests are conducted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow laboratory policies and procedures and maintain accurate records of all tests performed.
- Communicate test results and analysis to medical staff, including pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform and document quality control procedures and participate in the evaluation of new testing methods and equipment.
- Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment, and perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and regulations.
- Continuously stay updated with new developments and advancements in laboratory science.
- Assist in the training and supervision of lab assistants and other personnel.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain appropriate certification and licensure.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license from a recognized certifying agency.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Generalist in a clinical laboratory environment.
- Proficient in laboratory techniques, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
