About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Bedford Industries. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new products and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new products and manufacturing equipment, including research and planning phases.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create initial design and production processes for new products.
  • Approve products for customer applications and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in developing cost models for new processes and improvements, working closely with accounting.
  • Develop test criteria for acceptance of new equipment and ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Support production processes and ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment.
  • Research and approve new production equipment purchased from outside vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of design experience, with a focus on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically Autodesk Inventor.
  • Experience with statistical process tools and quality control methods.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
