Overview

ZOLL LifeVest is a leading developer of lifesaving medical technology. We are seeking an independent contractor to train patients on the use and care of our wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD).

This is a perfect opportunity for health professionals with patient care experience to supplement their income while making a difference in cardiac patients' lives.

Job Description

The selected candidate will work independently as a Patient Service Representative, training patients on the LifeVest device, and providing follow-up support as needed. They will also be responsible for managing device inventory and disclosing any family relationships with potential referral sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact caregivers and family members to schedule services
  • Travel to patients' homes and healthcare facilities to provide services
  • Train patients and other caregivers on the use of LifeVest
  • Program LifeVest according to prescribing physicians' orders
  • Measure patients and determine correct garment size
  • Review paperwork and transmit signed copies to ZOLL within 24 hours
  • Manage device and garment inventory
  • Disclose family relationships with potential referral sources

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of patient care experience in a paid professional environment
  • Patient experience must be documented on resume
  • Completion of background check
  • Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance or state ID
  • Willingness to pay $30 annual DME fee
