Crisis Mental Health Services

The Mental Health Clinician/Crisis Intervention Specialist provides crisis intervention mental health services to individuals of all ages experiencing acute behavioral health issues.

These services are provided primarily in community settings to individuals who are in crisis or for whom a crisis episode is deemed to be imminent.

This is a full-time float position which will cover up to 40 hours per week of variable shifts in Whatcom County as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention mental health services to individuals of all ages
  • Stabilize crisis situations at the site of contact whenever possible
  • Document delivery of services in the medical record
  • Meet or exceed service hour expectations and/or response time expectations established by the agency

Requirements:

  • MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field
  • Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC
  • Training in Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care preferred
