Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications assigned to the laboratory team, including Epic.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
  • Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users.
  • Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow.
  • Initiate the identification of issues and guide the work to resolve them.
  • Support junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
  • Work with stakeholders, the business community, and end users to ensure the application meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support and attend and participate in applicable committees.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members, including participating in weekly project team meetings.
  • Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
  • Remains knowledgeable about UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Epic Beaker (CP) certification preferred.
  • Data Innovation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, 5 years preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization.
  • Ability to travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, rounding, and/or senior leadership meetings.
  • Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with lab workflows, regulatory requirements, integration points with other Epic modules, and patient experiences preferred.
  • Experience in clinical pathology and lab practices preferred.
  • Previous Epic Beaker, CP implementation experience and certification preferred.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary and travel to the job site during go-lives, conferences, and/or senior leadership meetings.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel.
