Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dietitian to join our team at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Garden City. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing lifestyle health coaching and educational content to patients enrolled in our Weight Management Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide weight loss and management guidance to patients using the Health Management Resources (HMR) behavioral program.
  • Deliver weekly behavioral groups to coach patients on lifestyle health changes using an empirical, data-driven approach.
  • Teach patients the supporting content of the HMR behavioral program.
  • Maintain accurate individual and group summary data on all active patients.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and validate data from all information collected and ensure confidentiality.
  • Follow up with current patients weekly through telephone calls and periodic individual and group meetings.
  • Present program orientations to give an overview of the HMR program for prospective new patients.
  • Participate in marketing efforts and make presentations of the program to the community.
  • Communicate regularly with staff to promote a consistent, integrated, and effective program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Nutrition, or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, education, program development, or health promotion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition.
  • NYS Licensed Dietitian.
  • 5 years of experience in a Weight Loss clinic environment.
