**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Northern Montana Health Care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration, and maintaining confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Patient Registration Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, responding to their queries and providing general information about the practice.

About the Job:

  • Manage patient registration, verify patient information, and update records as necessary.
  • Respond to patient inquiries, provide general information about the practice, and answer phone calls.
  • Distribute written prescriptions and sample medications, verifying names before dispensing.
  • Assist patients at the time of departure, scheduling ancillary tests or return appointments.
  • Use the cash drawer with accuracy, taking payments on accounts, and providing receipts.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Keyboarding skills of at least 35 wpm.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to comprehend, retain, and apply given information.
  • A good understanding of lab and imaging tests and the ability to order them with accuracy.
