Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Coordinator to join our team at Novant Health. This role is responsible for supervising the workflow of all activities related to decontamination, packaging, sterilization, quality assurance, and quality improvement. The successful candidate will adhere to best practices by following regulatory, federal, and state guidelines as stated by AAMI, AORN, The JC, CMS, APIC, and SGNA.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the workflow of all activities related to decontamination, packaging, sterilization, quality assurance, and quality improvement.
  • Adhere to best practices by following regulatory, federal, and state guidelines.
  • Work in a team environment that fosters teamwork, team member engagement, and community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Sterile Processing if certified, required. Minimum of five years' experience in Sterile Processing if not certified, required.
  • Recognized SPD Certification, required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
  • Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.
