Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stadium Security Guard to join our team at WVU Innovation Corporation. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and information to all visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to provide a safe, secure environment, in support of the Security Program.
  • Successfully pass WV DHHR Protected Services Record Check and WV CARES fingerprint-based criminal background check.
  • Initiate positive customer service interaction and provide appropriate assistance to visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site.
  • Maintain consistent visibility and presence at assigned locations to provide an information and directional resource for all visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site.
  • Respond to all visitor, vendor, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site with requests for information/assistance in a courteous manner.
  • Protect people and property by assisting in the prevention of accidents, theft, and vandalism, in accordance with company policies and procedures, as monitored by supervision.
  • Maintain consistent presence and visibility by performing routine building rounds, building door unlocks, exterior building and parking lot patrols.
  • Monitor all facilities on the WVU Innovation Corporation site for any major leaks of fluid, air leaks, equipment alarms, or other major facility issues and immediately notify Maintenance employees according to company policy and procedures.
  • Report suspicious situations, circumstances, incidents, and persons, according to company policy and procedures.
  • Respond and aid visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site during fire and disaster drills, animal control issues, and lost/found issues, according to company policy and procedures.
  • Provide written documentation of activities, incidents, premises safety issues, accidents, theft, vandalism, and other data requested by supervision in a factual, objective, and legible manner.
  • Respond to and provide assistance to visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site during emergency situations such as; assaults, domestic disputes, fire, vandalism, bomb threats, theft, vehicle accidents, disasters, etc.
  • Ensure safety and proper operating condition of vehicles by performing vehicle inspections, as outlined by departmental policy.
  • Monitor and control the access of visitors, vendors, staff, and other tenants assigned to the WVU Innovation Corporation site according to company policy and entry control procedures.
  • Verify, monitor, and track all visitors and vendors entering/departing the WVU Innovation Corporation site according to company policy and entry control procedures.
  • Monitor the WVU Innovation Corporation's Access Control and Closed-Circuit Television Systems.
  • Incident Reporting, Routine Building Rounds, Incident Investigation, Crowd Control, Disaster Response, Domestic Disputes, Parking Enforcement, Consistent Presence and Visibility, Media Issues, Victim Assistance, Engage in Traffic Direction, Policy Enforcement, Investigation of Alarms, Duress, etc., Tire Changing, Battery Jumps, Parking Rounds, Effective Radio Communication, Escort visitors/staff, give accurate directions to customers, Loss Prevention, Transport equipment/staff/visitors, post assignments for exterior patrols, perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the entire shift and/or double shift.
  • Ability to tolerate adverse environmental conditions for the entire shift and/or double shift.
  • Evaluation by Occupational Medicine required upon hire or transfer to ensure medical fitness.
  • Ability to organize and maintain document controls.
  • Demonstrates writing skills.
