Position Overview: Senior Associate Patient Coordinator

The Senior Associate Patient Coordinator plays a vital role in our healthcare team, focusing on the management of patient appointments, referrals, and medical records. This position is based in a dynamic medical environment, where attention to detail and effective communication are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage the scheduling of patient appointments and coordinate referrals to appropriate clinical services.
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to gather and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while registering and scheduling patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Support the administrative functions of the clinic, including clerical tasks related to scheduling and coordination of services.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective patient care.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare customer service role is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least one year of post-secondary education in business, medical assisting, or nursing assistance, or a combination of education and experience in a relevant field is necessary.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment is required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is a must.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of scheduling and medical record management systems is preferred.

• A clinical background in the relevant area is advantageous.

• An associate's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant is desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC is preferred.
