We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative who will act as the primary point of contact between our organization and its existing and prospective clients. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for efficiently addressing customer concerns, inquiries, and complaints, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains a top priority in every interaction.
This role is predominantly phone-based, making prior experience in a call center environment advantageous. The starting compensation for this position is $19.50 per hour.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for the Customer Service Representative role encompass, but are not limited to:
- Delivering timely and professional assistance to our clients' customers.
- Ensuring accurate billing information is provided and resolving any related issues.
- Managing the verification, setup, administration, and closure of customer accounts.
- Processing service orders and coordinating with field and billing teams as necessary.
- Conducting general reporting, correspondence, and data entry tasks.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or a call center is desirable.
- Experience with cash handling is beneficial.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong verbal, written, and technical communication abilities are required.
- A proactive individual who can navigate conflicts and find resolutions effectively.
- Ability to document, organize, input, and manage customer and billing information accurately and efficiently. Proficiency in computer programs and software, particularly the Microsoft Suite, is necessary.
- Familiarity with Tyler ERP PRO 10 Utility Billing system is a plus.
- Experience in the utilities sector is an advantage.
