Job Summary
Columbus Technical College is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Education Professional to teach our patient care technician course in the evenings, Fridays, and Saturdays. This part-time exempt position is responsible for classroom and laboratory instruction, developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress in attaining goals and objectives, attending intradepartmental meetings, staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct students in the Patient Care Technician program and possibly other areas within the Division of Health Sciences and Nursing.
  • Develop teaching methods and maintain management procedures and documentation.
  • Evaluate student's progress in attaining goals and objectives.
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited college or university with a current Georgia or Multi-State License as an LPN.

  • Be credentialed in good standing in medical assisting as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) *OR* Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) *OR* Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association.
  • One or more years of current working experience as an LPN or MA.
  • Current BLS Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on education and experience. The college offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
