About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Arete. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for executing multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, including requirements decomposition, system performance analysis, and system integration and test activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Decomposition: Break down complex system requirements into software and hardware functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • System Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of system performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to optimize system efficiency.
  • System Integration and Test: Oversee the integration and testing of system components, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, production teams, and program leadership on technical considerations, risks, and issue closure.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience with a BS/BA, 7+ years with a MS/MA, or 4+ years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME.
  • Proficiency in Jama for Requirements and Test Management.
