We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director/Partner to lead our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. This hybrid role will involve leading tax planning and advisory efforts for clients involved in complex M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to navigate intricate tax issues, providing strategic guidance that maximizes value and minimizes risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Tax Structuring and Due Diligence: Oversee tax structuring and due diligence for M&A transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop Tax-Efficient Strategies: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement tax-efficient strategies that align with their business goals.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet client needs.
  • Build Strong Client Relationships: Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay Updated on Tax Laws and Regulations: Stay current on relevant tax laws and regulations, providing proactive advice to clients.
  • Mentor and Develop Junior Staff: Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Participate in Business Development: Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's M&A practice.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., JD, LLM, MBA) preferred.
  • CPA Certification: CPA certification required.
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and M&A transactions.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations.
  • Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated leadership and business development capabilities.
