The Finance team within the Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) sector is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee financial operations for our CROSSFIRE Program. This initiative involves the provision of advanced radar systems and unmanned aircraft solutions to military clients. The successful candidate will also spearhead our upcoming contract initiatives anticipated in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee management of earned value contracts and conduct thorough analysis of program performance.
- Develop and present quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- Review and create Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Collaborate with Control Account Managers and Program Management to ensure adherence to financial policies.
- Facilitate weekly reviews of financial forecasts, including bookings, sales, earnings, and cash flow.
- Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance analytical capabilities across the finance team.
- Provide support for ad-hoc requests in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial analysis or related fields; or an advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to government contractual obligations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to achieve EVMS certification shortly after hiring.
- Experience managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Capability to work under general supervision while meeting assignment objectives.
- Proven ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Experience engaging with senior management and delivering formal presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
