Position Overview:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Fairhope Health and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in delivering quality nursing care to our residents. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the nursing assessment process by gathering, documenting, and reporting essential patient data.
- Monitor and communicate any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate in the creation and adjustment of individualized Nursing Care Plans.
Core Duties:
- Maintain accurate medical records reflecting patient and family involvement.
- Carry out nursing procedures aimed at enhancing patient comfort.
- Support various medical treatments and procedures as required.
- Administer prescribed medications and observe patient responses.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and care.
- Regularly check and document patient vital signs and fluid intake/output.
- Collect and appropriately label specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Transcribe physician orders and ensure accurate documentation of nursing actions.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a current LPN license issued by the State of Alabama.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a hospital setting.
