Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA to join our team at Fairhope Health and Rehabilitation. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, grooming, toileting, and obtaining vital signs.
  • Assist with medication administration and document as directed.
  • Support residents with preparing for medical testing, activities programs, and visitation.
  • Maintain residents' living areas clean, neat, and change linens as directed.
  • Report changes in residents' conditions to the charge nurse immediately.
  • Assist with transporting residents to/from appointments, activities, and social programs.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents as needed.
  • Obtain and record residents' blood sugar levels using the Free Style Glucose Monitoring machine.
  • Utilize the Smart Charting IPAC to record selected ADLs and meals.
  • Complete incident reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA or obtain certification within 4 months of hire.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to move consistently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to enable these senses to function adequately.
  • Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds using proper body mechanics and assistance.
  • Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
