Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team for a travel nursing job in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Labor and Delivery unit. As a Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to Labor and Delivery patients, including antepartum care, external fetal monitoring, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
  • Manage and administer antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and pain medications as needed.
  • Circulate for c-sections and scrub for c-sections as required.
  • Provide neonatal care in the delivery room, including initial assessment and stabilization of newborns.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN FHM Intermediate Level certification.
  • Strong experience with IVs, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and pain medications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.
  • Every other weekend required; Must work Labor Day and 1 winter holiday.
