Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in Labor and Delivery at a top-rated hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Travel Nurse RN to provide high-quality patient care in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor and Delivery, with experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and delivering babies.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to Labor and Delivery patients, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and postpartum hemorrhages.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
Requirements:
  • NJ RN license required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN FHM Intermediate Level certification.
  • Strong experience with IVs, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, and pain medications.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, and every other weekend.
