Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Container Developer to enhance our operational capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in developing, deploying, and maintaining Docker Containers for applications built on Java, NodeJS, and .NET frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Dockerfiles for containerized applications using Java, Node, and .NET.
- Establish deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps for building and deploying containers to Linux environments.
- Manage a repository of standardized container images utilizing Nexus Repository Manager.
- Collaborate with software developers to gather and clarify project requirements.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Work autonomously while also contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a quick learning ability for new technologies and software solutions.
- Prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.
- Provide and accept constructive feedback to foster a positive team dynamic.
- Contribute to process enhancements and introduce innovative ideas.
Required Skills:
- At least 4 years of experience with Docker container technologies.
- A minimum of 3 years in Linux Administration (preferably Oracle Linux/RHEL).
- Proficient understanding of Docker container runtime, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, container networking, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to resolve issues on the underlying operating system where Docker containers are deployed, including network, file mount, and resource challenges.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- At least 2 years of experience in Python scripting or development.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting common deployment and runtime issues in container environments.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for NGINX, Java, Postfix, and .NET applications.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of Linux, NGINX, Apache, and SSL certificate management.
- Commitment to maintaining up-to-date secure container and Linux administration practices.
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with business applications such as spreadsheets and calendars.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with clients and team members.
- Experience in creating architecture diagrams using Visio.
- Proficient in using Git for version control.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting.
- Familiarity with REST APIs.
- Experience with Ansible Playbooks.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools.
