Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

Optomi is collaborating with a prominent broadband communications organization, recognized as the second largest cable provider in the United States, to identify a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect. This role is essential in guiding the evolution of multi-access edge (MEC) infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will possess over a decade of experience, showcasing a profound understanding of diverse cloud platforms, Linux systems, and other pertinent technical skills. This position demands a results-oriented and client-focused professional who balances extensive technical knowledge with business acumen.

Qualifications of the ideal candidate:

  • Expertise in enterprise cloud solutions, including deployment and management in cloud environments, as well as private, public, and hybrid cloud models.
  • In-depth experience with internet technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, and HTTP.
  • Practical experience with both public and private cloud services (AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, etc.), along with load balancers and networking equipment.
  • Proven experience in designing resilient and disaster recovery infrastructures.
  • Development experience with database or application integration technologies.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Linux.
  • Familiarity with open-source architectures and contributions to open-source initiatives.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and operating highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.
  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) Certification.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with various cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Previous experience in implementing cloud and edge solutions for sectors such as programmatic advertising, GenAI, financial services, and content delivery/streaming is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions and present persuasive recommendations to clients.
  • Establish operational procedures and practices.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement appropriate monitoring and escalation protocols.
  • Accelerate development for roadmap features to meet specific client needs.
  • Identify ongoing risks and challenges throughout projects, developing and executing mitigation strategies.
  • Enhance internal processes and foster knowledge sharing within the team through contributions to the knowledge base, blogs, and training sessions.
  • Document project insights and translate them into architectural best practices for broader application, mentoring and training internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to assess client requirements and feedback, identifying opportunities for platform improvements.
  • Play a crucial role as a technical and strategic leader in shaping the future of multi-access edge (MEC) infrastructure and services, responsible for research, architecture, and engineering initiatives.
  • Work in partnership with product, engineering, and operations teams to define technical requirements for new edge products and services, delivering proof-of-concept demonstrations and assisting in technology deployment.
