Job Title: Software Services Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Services Architect to join our team at Walmart Advanced Systems and Robotics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the architectural vision of services that will span both cloud and on-premise for our multi-robot grocery fulfillment system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement a set of services for order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with different teams to define message workflows.
  • Break down requirements into deliverables.
  • Create best practices, be involved in code reviews, and mentor software engineers to produce high-quality code.
  • Design and implement code that spans deployment, production, and observability.
  • Interface with Walmart's Warehouse Management System and other fulfillment technologies.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of software product development experience.
  • Deep expertise in high-performance micro-service architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka; Kubernetes; Java or C# in production environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to inspire technical teams.
  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Preferred Experience:
  • Robotics and autonomous systems.
  • Order and Inventory Systems, Warehouse Control Systems.
