Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Professional Development Educator to join our team at Northwell Health. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing staff development and continuing education programs, as well as performing the functions of an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, consultant, and researcher in their area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess learner characteristics, including learning styles and learning needs, to create effective learning environments.
  • Develop and implement staff development and continuing education programs that meet the needs of learners and the organization.
  • Function in the roles of both teacher and facilitator, using a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the learner's characteristics, learning needs, cultural perspectives, and outcome objectives.
  • Maintain a visible clinical presence, adhere to regulatory body/agency standards, and advocate for nursing professional development programs that support the needs of learners and the organization.
  • Function as a change agent and leader, implementing motivational strategies at individual, group, program, or organizational levels, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Promote problem-solving, interpret and use research in practice, and demonstrate knowledge of the research process.
  • Use organizational strategic plan and goals to determine educational priorities, develop financial plans, and allocate resources.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 4-7 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience, required.
Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $94,000-$150,000/year. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
