Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide support to participants in cluster homes, helping them achieve their goals and maximize their capacity for personal growth.

About the Role

This role requires a high level of energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and clean home environment, providing direct support with activities of daily living, and advocating effectively for participants' needs and choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in regular supervision and meetings with the Residential Coordinator to ensure a safe home environment.
  • Maintain all required certifications, including MAP Certification, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Complete tasks assigned by supervisors, such as data collection, progress notes, and assessments.
  • Dispense medications, obtain vital signs, and administer treatments to participants as per physicians' orders.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree and/or related experience are preferred.
  • You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to read and understand ISPs, records, and policies.
  • A valid MA driver's license is necessary, as well as the ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
  • You should be comfortable with computers and able to learn new reporting software.
Benefits

Work Schedule

Your work schedule will be Sunday 9a-11p, Monday/Tuesday 3p-11p, Friday 3p-11p, Sunday/Saturday 9a-11p. Please note that this schedule may be subject to change based on business needs.
