Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance initiatives designed to uphold a flawless environment for visitors. This role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing all mechanical, electrical, and other systems that impact the quality of the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a safe and visually appealing atmosphere for guests and staff by maintaining the property in line with safety regulations.
  • Conducts repairs throughout the hotel, including tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, and performing painting and patching duties. Responsible for fixing plumbing fixtures, laundry equipment, kitchen appliances, and other hotel facilities.
  • Formulates strategies for routine and preventive maintenance as well as renovations; collaborates with department heads to coordinate tasks.
  • Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the hotel’s exterior, including grounds, pool area, and fitness center.
  • Guarantees compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in hotel or residential maintenance.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and plumbing repair techniques.
  • Proficient in using general maintenance tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge in painting, HVAC systems, and carpentry.
  • Capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
  • Comfortable working in extreme temperatures and with cleaning agents.
  • Effective communication skills with both guests and team members.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
