Key Responsibilities- Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques and protocols.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and materials for various surgical procedures, including gowning and gloving, draping, and providing a sterile field.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, anticipating their needs and passing instruments and supplies as required.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about various surgical procedures and equipment, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, minimizing downtime and optimizing patient care.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any concerns or issues promptly.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
