Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer - TS/SCI Required

Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as a Senior Systems Engineer - TS/SCI Required and contribute to the development of complex systems that support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex applications that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E)
  • Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solutions
  • Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Order
  • Analyze customer requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level network architectures to develop customer-specific requirements and specifications
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
  • Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking terminology
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to government systems
  • Develop and maintain network architecture, network design documentation, and solutions for continuous improvement of ACIC systems architecture
  • Develop and design an implementation plan that meets the customer's requirements
  • Interact with the Government regarding network engineering technical considerations and for associated problems
  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently
  • Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project
  • Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience or Master's Degree with 10 years of experience
  • Mitigate risks, controls costs, and schedule variance, and effectively manages large-scale, integrated projects
  • Review and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete
  • Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces
  • Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI; Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract
  • Required Certification(s): DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract
  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
  • Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date)
  • Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV 2020-2022, etc.
  • Location: On Customer Site
  • Additional: Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity
  • Travel may be required to support the mission
