Medical Collector

As a Medical Collector at Truist Inc, you will be responsible for following standardized collection and/or recovery procedures for all assigned accounts and making leadership aware of problem accounts that may result in repossession, foreclosure or charge-off within established time frames.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing client communications and providing accurate account detail and information with a high level of professionalism and integrity, while following all required compliance and quality expectations.
  • Executing calls to assigned accounts in order of the collection system queue priority as established by calling strategy.
  • Documenting all collection efforts for each assigned account in the collection system using appropriate codes and notes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Offering/ executing payment assistance and settlement programs for clients based upon written policy guidelines.
  • Communicating regularly with leadership on status of problem accounts in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensuring that all accounts have been thoroughly worked according to established procedures (including contact attempts, required letters, etc.).
