Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or the Director / Office Supervisor, the LPN performs diagnostic procedures, assists the provider with patient procedures, and performs routine laboratory tests. This role requires a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, as well as the ability to adapt techniques to individual patient needs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and assist providers with patient procedures.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, including collection and handling of infectious waste.
  • Take patient vitals, administer injections and immunizations, and chart and document patient information.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital associates.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to take patient vitals, administer injections and immunizations, chart and document patient information, handle infectious waste, and perform routine laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.
