Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Powers Health, you will work under the direction of our Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Director/Office Supervisor to perform diagnostic procedures, assist with patient procedures, and conduct routine laboratory tests. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience to acquire a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards. You will demonstrate the ability to adapt techniques to individual patient needs, take patient vitals, administer injections/immunizations, chart and document patient information, handle infectious waste, and perform routine lab procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities are necessary to interact with patients, physicians, and other hospital associates.


Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and assist with patient procedures under the direction of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, and/or Director/Office Supervisor.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, including collection and handling of patient samples.
  • Take patient vitals, administer injections/immunizations, and chart and document patient information.
  • Handle infectious waste and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other hospital associates.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to adapt techniques to individual patient needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
