Job Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician in our Cardiovascular Cath Lab, you will be responsible for providing care to a designated group of patients through the therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Your contributions will significantly impact the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in procedures and cardiac device implantations conducted in the Cath/EP Lab
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all invasive procedures, ensuring patients are prepared according to established protocols
- Perform duties including circulating, monitoring patients during Cath Lab procedures, and executing sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, vascular procedures, and other cardiac interventions
- Manage the stocking and documentation of supplies, patient billing, and coding of procedures
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- RT or CVT required; RCIS preferred but not mandatory
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or American Red Cross ALS certification is required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required
Experience:
- Prior experience in Cardiac Catheterization is required
