We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Intelligence Lead - Investigations to join our team at Associated Banc-Corp. As a key member of our Financial Intelligence department, you will be responsible for directing a team of Financial Intelligence Analysts and conducting ongoing quality assessments of alert documentation, escalation, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Direct a team of Financial Intelligence Analysts and provide work direction, coaching, and development.
- Quality Assessments: Conduct ongoing quality assessments of alert documentation, escalation, and decision-making performed by the assigned team.
- Policy Implementation: Assist the team manager with the implementation of policies, processes, and procedures related to financial intelligence.
- Suspicious Activity Identification: Exercise solid judgment while examining, identifying, and documenting suspicious activity behaviors and patterns, including the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports as necessary.
- Escalation and Referral: Escalate and/or refer problem accounts or customers based on applicable procedures.
- Technical Resource: Act as a front-line technical resource for internal and external customers, including business lines and managers.
- Direction on Escalated Alerts: Provide direction on escalated high-risk alerts.
- Backup to Management: Serve as a backup to management when management is not available.
- Surveillance System Evaluation: Ongoing evaluation of the efficiency of existing surveillance systems, rules, and methodologies to ensure appropriate identification of fraud, kiting, money laundering, terrorist financing, or unusual account activity among Associated account holders.
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, Banking, Security, Business, or Law Enforcement.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, Banking, Security, Business, or related field. Less than 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Certifications: CAMS-Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or CFE-Certified Fraud Examiner within 2 years preferred.
