Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Grand Hyatt Nashville. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Observe and ensure that food preparation and cooking methods meet our high standards.
- Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef, planning and preparing all meals.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen supervisory experience.
- 3 years of kitchen operations experience, including at least 1 year in a lead cook position and 1 year in a steward position.
- ACF Certification, Culinary Arts degree, apprenticeship, or AOS degree.
- Food Safety Certification.
