Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Grand Hyatt Nashville. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • Observe and ensure that food preparation and cooking methods meet our high standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Assume responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef, planning and preparing all meals.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of kitchen supervisory experience.
  • 3 years of kitchen operations experience, including at least 1 year in a lead cook position and 1 year in a steward position.
  • ACF Certification, Culinary Arts degree, apprenticeship, or AOS degree.
  • Food Safety Certification.
