Job Summary

The State of Tennessee is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist 3 to join our team. As a key member of our environmental regulatory division, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental inspections and investigations to determine compliance with regulations
  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to achieve environmental goals
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to inform environmental decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, geology, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in environmental compliance or a related field
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent travel and may involve working in outdoor environments. The selected candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions.
