The Financial Operations Manager will be essential in overseeing the fiscal integrity of the brewery. This role entails managing all financial activities, ensuring precise financial documentation, and offering strategic financial guidance to facilitate our growth. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, superior organizational abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for the craft beer sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Management, Payroll, Banking Relations, Revenue Recognition, Cash Management, and Investor Relations.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts while reporting on variances.
  • Generate and disseminate timely monthly financial reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of compliance reporting.
  • Investigate technical accounting matters to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Collaborate with CPA firms to facilitate annual tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Work closely with brewery and taproom teams to ensure accurate inventory and cost management.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA designation is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite; familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate is a plus.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Strong skills in accounting software; experience with QuickBooks or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for the craft beer industry and brewing.
