Join Our Team as an Overhead Door Technician

We are seeking a skilled Overhead Door Technician to join our team at Alta Equipment Group. As a key member of our installation and service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial/industrial/high-speed doors, door operating systems, gate operating systems, and dock leveling systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial/industrial/high-speed doors, door operating systems, gate operating systems, and dock leveling systems
  • Work on new construction or replacement of existing doors, gates, or docks
  • Diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain commercial dock levelers, overhead doors, garage doors, high-speed doors, and gates
  • Use mechanical and electrical systems knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Weld and fabricate as needed
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as an Overhead Door Loading Dock Technician
  • Clean License (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining commercial dock levelers, overhead doors, garage doors, high-speed doors, and gates (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (Preferred)
  • Welding/Fabrication experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Follow proper safety procedures while using tools, including ladders
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues in the field
