Job Summary

The Laguna Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Treat each resident with kindness, dignity, and respect, maintaining a positive and calm disposition.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, visitors, staff, and government agencies.
  • Work cooperatively with all departments and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform essential duties and responsibilities, including vital sign checks, wound dressing, and accurate charting of resident progress notes.
  • Timely report changes in resident condition to the nurse supervisor and assist/supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of LVN training from an accredited school or college.
  • Valid LVN license in good standing.
  • Valid CPR and BLS card.
  • IV Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet to enter resident data.
Working Conditions
  • May encounter frequent interruptions.
  • May be involved with residents, family, and government agencies.
  • May be requested to work beyond scheduled working hours at times.
  • Is subject to call-back during emergency conditions.
  • May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoking, or air contaminants.
  • May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses.
  • May be exposed to or handle hazardous chemicals.
