Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment as a Surgical Technologist. You will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining aseptic conditions, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aseptic Technique: Maintain aseptic conditions throughout surgical procedures, including preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Patient Care: Prepare patients for surgery, assist with gowning and gloving, and provide a sterile field for surgical procedures.
  • Equipment Management: Set up and maintain equipment used during surgical procedures, including tables, cameras, microscopes, and instrument pans.
  • Communication: Work effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
