About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities: This position requires a strong foundation in aseptic surgical techniques, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing for Surgery: Ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available, and that the operating room is set up according to standard protocols.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assisting surgeons during procedures, providing support as needed, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine checks on equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions, and contributing to the overall maintenance of the operating room.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must possess a strong educational background in Surgical Technology, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. You should also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development.
