Job Title: Controller

At Total Resource Management, we are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting operations and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a process mentality, experience establishing financial processes, and a strategic mindset to help drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial health, optimizing working capital and liquidity.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls in compliance with SOX.
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax requirements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Integrate acquisitions into accounting policy, procedure, and systems.
  • Manage and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, Sage, Dynamics, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, process, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
