Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Rapides Regional Medical Center LA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia equipment, as well as other medical devices, to ensure proper functioning.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Basic ORT intraoperative skills
  • Advanced skills in robotics
  • Procedures performed on unit: General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, GYN, Plastics, Robotic assisted procedures, Cardiovascular Surgery
  • 36-40 hours/week with a call rotation
