About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Wendy's. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of restaurant staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute company policies and procedures to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
- Solve customer complaints quickly and professionally, providing a positive experience for our guests.
- Maintain fast, accurate service, provide excellent customer service, and meet and/or exceed both company and customer expectations.
- Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action to prevent issues from arising.
- Provide feedback to team members in a positive and constructive manner, helping them to grow and develop in their roles.
- Train, monitor, and reinforce food safety procedures and safe working procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, setting a positive example for our team members.
- Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Balance cash at the end of the shift and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks and ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities.
- Report maintenance and training needs to the Assistant Managers and General Manager.
- Ability to come to work promptly and as scheduled, and to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Arrange to have shifts covered when employees take time off, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
- Report directly to the Assistant Managers and General Manager, providing regular updates on the performance of the restaurant and any issues that may arise.
- Must be able to stand for at least an 8-hour shift, and be able to lift 35 pounds to waist level.
- Open or close the restaurant when responsible for the first or last shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed and the restaurant is secure.

Qualifications

- A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism.
- High stress tolerance and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Willing to work normal schedule of 40 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Must have a great personality, desire to serve guests, enjoy working as part of a team, and be upbeat and engaging.
- Must have reliable transportation.
