Plasma Donor Screener

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plasma Donor Screener to join our team at ABO Plasma. As a key member of our center, you will be responsible for conducting thorough screening procedures to determine donor suitability for plasma donation.
Key Responsibilities- Administer health history questionnaires to new and repeat donors, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information.
- Manage donor flow throughout the center, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Communicate delays and issues to center management, nurses, and other necessary parties.
- Document activities and maintain accurate records.
- Set up and operate instruments for testing donor vitals and other station equipment.
- Assess donor weight and vital records, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Refill supplies and clean machines/station at the conclusion of the shift.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering donor inquiries and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with proof of education.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficient in English, with legible handwriting and ability to read, write, and speak the language.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficient with computer entry and ability to learn new software.
- May be required to travel for training.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
This role requires the ability to talk and hear, with regular use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, and controls. Vision abilities include close vision, with the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb, and balance. Physical ability to operate equipment used in screening and donor floor areas, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentThis role routinely uses standard office equipment, with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other conditions common to a donor center. Personal protective equipment, such as eyewear, lab coats, and gloves, is required.
